Bellydance has been very miss- understood over the years and Hollywood has many it look more exotic than it was originally. Bellydance has a history of being a dance form woman would learn at a young age to build up stomach muscle to one day birth a child. It was a sacred dance for women to get to know the strength of their body.
So this is a great place for teenagers to learn to understand more about their body and the importance of connecting with our core strength as that is were we hold alot of emotions, build up will power and feel confident in who we are.
No matter what shape or size we are.

Taiya has been practicing bellydance since 1991 when she was 16 years old. She has now been doing it 20 years. She has been performing and teaching in New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, India, Thailand, Canada and New York in the last 12 years.
